The market runs weekly from 10.15 to 11.30 am in St Wilfrid's Church Hall. Country Markets are the nationwide successors to the former WI Markets, coming into being a few years back as a result of advice that the trading activity of the WI could imperil its charitable status. Country Markets continue the good works of the WI, the markets thriving on honest home-produced bakery, preserves, cards, crafts and jewellery: local cheeses and meats feature strongly, as do fruit and vegetables in season. We work as a co-operative, so that producer members do not have to be there in person every week: we are all working to the same end, really acting on the keep it local, keep it good motto.
